Sewing Tips for Tulle
Choose fine needle and fine thread: Use a fine Microtex or universal needle (size 60-70) and fine polyester thread. For embroidered bridal tulle, a rounded needle can also be used.
Use rotary cutter or sharp scissors: Tulle is best cut with a rotary cutter or very sharp scissors. Weight the fabric when cutting as it easily shifts.
Choose fine stitch: Choose a fine straight stitch or narrow zigzag stitch to avoid tearing. Tulle does not need finishing as it does not fray.
